Talented 2013 WR Enjoys Auburn Visit

Juwan Dickey talks about his visit to Auburn on Friday and how recruiting is going.

Marietta, Ga.—While teammate Eddie Printz gets much of the recruiting attention for the Lassiter Trojans, 6-2, 200 wide receiver Juwan Dickey is a player college coaches are keeping an eye on as well after a big junior year in 2011. On Friday Dickey made a visit to Auburn along with Printz and close friend Ryan Jenkins and came away impressed by what he saw out of the Tigers.

"They've got nice facilities," Dickey told Inside The Auburn Tigers. "The practice and everything was really good. They treated us well."

Making his first trip to Auburn, Dickey said it was big for him to get to see the Tigers practice. That also allowed him to see the coaches in action. He said he was particularly impressed by wide receiver Coach Trooper Taylor.

"I like the way they treated their players," Dickey said. "Coach Trooper is a cool dude. I would like to build a relationship with him. I like him a lot. He's real cool."

Still waiting on an offer from Auburn, Dickey said he got some encouraging words from Taylor and the Auburn coaches following his trip. Because of that he said he's looking forward to going back to see more from the school and program.

"They want me to go to one of their junior day camps," Dickey said. "They want to see me run routes and things like that. It's definitely exciting."

With several options already and the chance to pick up several more offers, Dickey said at the moment he's in no hurry to make a decision. Instead he said he just wants to take things slowly and see what happens.

"I'm hearing from UCLA, Oklahoma State, Clemson, South Florida, Southern Miss and Alabama," Dickey said. "I have offers from UCLA, Oklahoma State, South Florida and Southern Miss. I'm just taking things in stride right now and I'll see what other offers I get."
