Highly Regarded In-State Prospect Likes Four

Alabaster, Ala.--Tony Bell is a top five football player in the state of Alabama, and he is one of the best prospects in the South. He plays safety at Thompson High School, but he is likely to be a linebacker on the next level.

The 6-2 1/2, 204-pounder with 4.5 speed is beginning to narrow his list of schools and there are four lucky teams still in the mix. Bell has this to say about his top four colleges. "Georgia is a good up and coming program, and I really like the coaching staff.

"LSU has had two great recruiting classes in the past couple of years, and I think they are a team on the rise. They need safety help immediately, too.

"I only live two hours from Auburn, and I grew up an Auburn fan. A big thing with Auburn is that it's close to home.

"I grew up watching Tennessee," Bell adds. "I was a huge fan. I love the coaching staff and the atmosphere at Tennessee."

Bell has written scholarship offers from more than a dozen colleges, but Georgia, LSU, Auburn and Tennessee appear to be the teams to beat right now. He has been to camps at Auburn, Tennessee and LSU. He plans to attend a camp at Georgia in July.
