Class of 2014 DB/WR Checks Out Auburn

Chris White comments on his visit to Auburn's Big Cat Weekend.

St. Petersburg, Fla.--Chris White, a class of 2014 football prospect whose stock is rising, said he enjoyed his first trip to Auburn and Big Cat Weekend.

"I really liked it," White told Inside the Auburn Tigers. "I like the coaches. I talked to a lot of the coaches. I really feel comfortable at that school."

White made the trip to Auburn for the Big Cat event along with his highly-regarded teammate, running back Ryan Green, who has plenty of scholarship offers, including one from Auburn.

"He liked it a lot," White said about Green's trip to Auburn. Green invited the rising junior to come with him on the visit. "He's trying to help us out with schools," White said. "I'm trying to get my name out there."

The 5-10, 175-pound defensive back and wide receiver at St. Petersburg Catholic said that Florida State and Notre Dame have shown some interest in him.

The Big Cat Weekend is designed to be a fun event for recruits and White said the Auburn coaches succeeded in making that happen. "We had these little games," he said. "We put our faces in the pie and we'd eat it. It was really nice."
