"It went real well," Lee tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I got to get out there with some elite guys and compete. It felt really good. I think I performed really well.
"I like the coaching staff," he added of Auburn. "The main thing I like is that they preach family and they are really big on that. That's what really caught my eye."
A physical receiver, Lee ran a solid time of 4.62 seconds in the 40-yard dash and had a vertical leap of 26 inches. Looking to get an offer from Auburn, he said that overall his day went well and he heard that from Coach Gene Chizik as well.
"After the camp I went and talked with Coach Chizik," Lee said. "He was just saying that the offer may be coming and they would keep evaluating me. He just told me to keep working hard." With new offensive Scot Loeffler coming on board for the 2012 season, it's not a surprise that he's got some pretty specific things he's looking for from the wide receiver position in his offense. One of those is size.
Playing and coaching at Michigan where big receivers were the norm for the Wolverines in the 1990's and 2000's, Loeffler is hoping to add a physical nature to the position said Lee.
"I talked a lot with Coach Loeffler," Lee said. "He said they were going to evaluate my film with the staff and really take a good look at me. He told me they were looking for bigger receivers and Coach Chizik told me the same thing too. That was pretty exciting."
Already with offers from Ole Miss, Arkansas State, Georgia Tech and UAB, Lee said he's hearing a lot from Auburn at the moment and hopes to get an offer from the Tigers sometime soon. He said he's also interested in both Alabama and LSU.
