Harrison Butker currently holds scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, Auburn, Boston College and East Carolina. Following visits to Georgia Tech and Auburn, they appear to be the favorites but Butker is keeping his options open until he completes his visits.
Butkner was impressed with the competition at the Georgia Tech camp. "I went 8-10 on field goals and I think I really brought my game for kickoffs." Harrison showed off his strong leg by consistently kicking to the end zone with good hang time. "Kickoffs are definitely my strength."
The visit to Georgia Tech was his second of the off-season and Harrison has also visited Auburn. "I'm going back to Auburn on Monday and then to UNC on Wednesday."
With his recruitment coming to a possible close shortly, Harrison is looking for a school where he feels comfortable. "I'm looking for a place where I can develop as a football player and a student." Establishing a relationship with the coaches is also important to Butker. He'll be looking at how they treat him and his family.
Butker has been able to build a relationship with several of the Georgia Tech coaches. "Running backs coach Lamar Owens has been recruiting me through the whole process and he has been great." Harrison has also been talking to Georgia Tech special teams coach Dave Walkosky. "He knows a lot and he has been really good." Harrison has also talked with Coach Paul Johnson and offensive line coach, Mike Sewak.
Harrison may be reaching his decision in the next few weeks. "Hopefully after these next couple of camps I can make a decision." The decsion will not be an easy one for Harrison. "Everyone I've met so far has been great."
