Ashville, Ala.--E.J. Moss, who is expected to be one of the top players in the state of Alabama for the 2014 signee class, is a young quarterback who performed well at Auburn's one-day June camp for football prospects.

Moss showed a strong arm and a good passing touch, catching the attention of Scot Loeffler, Auburn's offensive coordinator and quarterback coach.

Asked what his favorite part of the camp was, Moss said, "Having one-on-one time with the new OC they've got. He's a really nice guy. He was a really good hire. He just a really cool guy."

Moss measured 6-2, 218 pounds at the Auburn camp. He ran a 4.94 and had a vertical jump of 30 inches.

"The camp went really well," he said. "This was my first time (to attend camp) at Auburn. I really do like it a lot. I'm definitely going to come back next year."

Moss has an early scholarship offer from Alabama and is getting interest from other SEC programs as he prepares for his junior season.

"I am working on my mechanics and footwork this summer," he said. "I've been doing that since last year. You never could get enough of that so that's what I'm working on right now."
