Two Tigers Named To Watch Lists

Auburn's Philip Lutzenkirchen and Reese Dismukes joined fellow Tigers' standout Onterio McCalebb on a national watch list Tuesday.

Auburn, Ala.—The preseason watch list announcements are in full swing in college football and on Tuesday the Auburn Tigers added two more names to watch for in 2012 as senior tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen was named to the John Mackey Award Watch List while sophomore center Reese Dismukes was named to the Rimington Award Watch List.

Auburn's career leader in touchdown catches for a tight end with 14, Lutzenkirchen caught 24 passes for 238 yards and seven touchdowns in 2011, but is expected to take on a much bigger role in Coach Scot Loeffler's offense this fall.

Missing spring practice after having shoulder surgery following the win over Virginia in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, Lutzenkirchen should be full speed when the Tigers hit the field for practice in August.

Starting all 13 games last season as a true freshman, Dismukes earned freshman All-SEC honors and was named a freshman All-American by CBS Sports. He's one of 51 players on the Rimington Trophy Watch List that goes out to the top center in college football and he's one of 10 from the Southeastern Conference on the list.

On Monday senior running back Onterio McCalebb was one of 65 players named to the Maxwell Award Watch List for the nation's top college football player. He enters the 2012 season 15th in career rushing at Auburn with 2,016 yards and was named second team All-SEC last year.
