Pike Not Expected To Report Today

Zeke Pike isn't expected to be with the Tigers when they open preseason camp on Tuesday.

Auburn, Ala.—After being sent home by coach Gene Chizik this summer following an arrest for public intoxication, freshman quarterback Zeke Pike is not expected to be with the Tigers today for the start of fall practice and his future with the program is still undecided.

An early high school graduate that went through spring practice with the Tigers, Pike was expected to provide some immediate depth at a position of need for new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler. Without him in fall camp the Tigers will be down to three quarterbacks in junior Clint Moseley, sophomore Kiehl Frazier and true freshman Jonathan Wallace.

Chizik is expected to address Pike's situation following Tuesday evening's practice.
