On Thursday the Auburn City Schools released a statement in regard to his eligibility and Foster is ready to play for the Tigers this fall.
The statement reads:
"An inquiry from the Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) regarding possible violations of the AHSAA Recruiting Rule occurred this month. The query was in regards to Auburn High School student-athlete, Reuben Foster. The AHSAA determined that no violation occurred.
"Auburn City Schools Director of Athletics. Clay McCall provided said, "The Auburn High School Athletic office ensures that any transferring student-athlete is in good standing and in compliance with AHSAA requirements."
The Atlanta Journal-Consitution erroneously reported this week that the NCAA was investigating Foster's move to AHS, which took place last spring after his coach at Troup County was removed from his post at the Georgia school.
