"It was crazy," Foster said. "There was a lot of emotion coming into tonight's game. I love this game and those guys."
Auburn was victorious, 38-7, as both teams' first stringers sat out the second half. However, Foster had a handful of tackles in the first half including the play of the day. He shot through the Troup County offensive line on a zone read play and took out the quarterback and the tailback.
"It was amazing," he said of the play. "It was crazy. I was just trying to be myself and break up a big play. I loved it. They were my teammates though and they're family."
Foster is shown giving a hug to a former coach. He also raced to midfield at the end of the game to give a group hug to his former teammates.
Auburn High School gets the season started next Friday at Valley.
"Our team is shaping up great," Foster said. "It's amazing seeing how much talent we've got on defense, and the offense is shaping up great."
