Quick Hitter: Trey Johnson

Trey Johnson remains an Auburn commitment, but he has set two official visits to other schools and a third will likely be set before the end of the month.

"Trey Johnson has set up his official visit to USC for the weekend of January 18," Central Gwinnett Head Coach Todd Wofford told Scout. "They wanted to get the visit as close to Signing Day as possible."

USC will get a visit from Johnson a few weeks before Signing Day, but they will not get the last visit. Auburn will.

It is not set yet, but the Tigers want the last official visit, so it will take place after Johnson returns from L.A.

Johnson has an official visit to Ohio State set for the weekend of November 24 when the Buckeyes host Michigan.

The final two have yet to be set, but they will likely go to Florida and Penn St.

"Coach [Ted] Roof will be at the school Friday, so we will probably set up the Penn St. visit then," Coach Wofford said. "Trey will be down at Florida in two weeks for the South Carolina game for an unofficial visit, so they should set up the official visit at that time."

Another school is making a big push for the four-star linebacker out of Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett though.

"Florida State really wants him to visit, but he is full right now. They could possibly push someone out, but right now, he is full."

Johnson loves Auburn and he is a Tiger commitment, but many schools are still in pursuit of this 6-foot-1, 220 pound linebacker. He is giving schools a look, so stay tuned to Scout for the latest.
