"I loved it," Carter said. "The campus was nice. The coaches are great at Auburn. It's my dream school. I have always been a Tiger fan."
Growing up in an Auburn family and playing football at Marion County (Ga.) High, Carter said he has been a fan of the Tigers since age four. Talking with the coaches about his future and what they see out of him, Carter said he enjoyed getting to spend time with Auburn OL coach Jeff Grimes especially.
"They just said they had heard good things about me," Carter said. "They see I love the game of football. They like my ability to play the game of football. They like my personality and feel like I can play football in the SEC. That would be my dream."
Not planning to make an early decision, Carter said he will graduate in March and have three years to play two on the next level. Currently with offers from Middle Tennessee, Troy and Louisiana Tech, he said he will visit those in addition to Akron and North Texas before making a decision.
Carter added that if Auburn offers they will definitely move into his list of official visits.
A standout performer in high school for Marion County, Carter was his region's defensive player of the year as a senior. In 2010 he made 71 tackles with 19 tackles for losses and 11 sacks.
