Chizik Won't Comment On Media Report

Comments from Auburn head football coach Gene Chizik are featured in this report.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn coach Gene Chizik had little comment on Wednesday when asked about a media report that the NCAA was investigating his football team's recruiting.

In August one of Auburn's recruits, running back Jovon Robinson from Memphis, left the team after questions surfaced regarding his high school transcripts. Auburn officials made the move to have the recruit withdraw from Auburn.

Asked about the report, Chizik said, "I am not going to comment on any speculation out there. We will talk about the Iron Bowl and Alabama."

Chizik's Tigers are preparing for their final game scheduled for Saturday at Alabama. The Tigers have struggled this season to a 3-8 record heading into the Iron Bowl. Alabama is 10-1 and needs a win to secure a spot in the SEC Championship Game.

Asked if the report is a distraction to his team's preparations, Chizik said, "It is not a distraction to me. We haven't thought one second about it so again we are right down the line on the Iron Bowl."
