A couple Ole Miss commits have already led their team to a state championship, but there are still a few left vying for high school football's top prize.

Devante Kincade

**QB Devante Kincade an Skyline (TX) defeated Westfield 38-33 last Friday in the third round of the Texas state playoffs to run their record to 12-1. The 4-Star Ole Miss commit was 12-22 for 177 yards and 1touchdowns. He also chipped in 53 rushing yards..

Skyline faces Allen in the state 5A semifinals today.

The Dallas native is 159-244 for 2, 634 yards with 37 TDs/6 int's..Devante has carried the ball 116 times for 746 yards and 11 touchdowns

The nation's #12 ranked quarterback was a terror on the field last season as he passed for 3,270 yards and 37 touchdowns while also chipping in another 857 rushing yards and 17 TDs on his way to All-State honors.

**RB Peyton Barber and Milton (GA) was defeated by Woodstock 28-21 in the second round of the playoffs. Peyton had 18 carries for 147 yards in the contest.'s No. 60 rated tailback finished the season with 1, 980 yards yards and 25 touchdowns for the season.

**Canton (MS) and Daronte Bouldin season has come to a close. The 6' 5", 315-pound Dandy Dozen offensive tackle had 81 pancakes and 50 crackback blocks through ten games.


Mark Dodson

** RB Mark Dodson and Whitehaven (Tenn) defeated Meryville 36-35 in overtime last weekend to win the Tennessee Class 5A State Championship. Dodson had 34 carries for 318 yards rushing and five touchdowns in the back-and-forth contest. No carry was more important than his last as he won the game on a two-point conversion.'s No. 34 rated tailback finished the season with 3, 397 yards and 37 touchdowns. Last season he rushed for over 2,100 yards and 28 TDs.

Mark was named Tennessee's 2012 Gatorade Player of the Year yesterday.



**The 6' 2" 185 athlete Charles Williams and Champagnat Catholic lost to Glades Day in the opening round of the playoffs.'s #52 rated safety finished the season with over 1, 2000 total yds, 9 tds and 4 ints (defense) this year while playing QB, RB, WR, KR/PR, CB and FS. Williams has been slowed by a growing injury all year but will be 100% when he arrives in Oxford next year.


** TE Evan Engram and Hillgrove (GA) were defeated by Camden County in the second round of the playoffs. They finished their season at 7-4. The Ole Miss tight end commit had 5 catches for 101 yards and 1 TD against McEachern in the opening round of the playoffs and 4 catches for 185 yards and 2 TDs against Camden County in the second round.'s #22 nationally ranked tight end finished the season with 40 catches for 975 yards and 10 TD's

**Grenada (MS) and Trey Bledsoe lost to Columbus 41-21 in the opening round of the playoffs to finish their record at 4-7. In seven games of action he had 35 catches for 477 yards and five touchdowns on the season. He also has three interceptions on defense and a defensive touchdown.

Last season the 6' 2", 190-pound receiver caught 27 passes for 440 yards and seven touchdowns. While manning the safety position he posted 40 tackles and five interceptions.

Derrick Jones

**Derrick Jones and Eupora were defeated by Bassfield 35-0 in the Class 2A State Championship game. The 6' 3", 185-pound receiver/defensive back had 9 catches and one catch in the game.

This season Jones has 48 catches for 992 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also chipped in a 95-yard kickoff, 80-yard kickoff return, 55-yard punt return, 70-yard punt return, and a 85-yard punt return for touchdowns. Jones on defense had 67 tackles and six interceptions

Jones was selected to the MS/AL All-Star game in December

**Ole Miss commits CB Zach Witchett and WR Quadarius Mireles finished their season with a victory over Pearl River CC. Mireles out of Boynton Beach, Fla.., was the workhorse for the Eagles all night, carrying the rock 21 times for 111 yards. This brought his season total to 38 receptions for 385 yards and four touchdowns. He also had 47 rushes for 249 yards and two touchdowns

Georgia native Zach Witchett sat out the last five games of the season with injuries. He finished the season with 12 solo tackles and four batted-down balls in four games of action this season.

Q Mireles is expected to enroll in January.


**Ole Miss commit DT Herbert Moore finished his high school career with a 23-0 loss to Memphis Whitehaven in the regular season. Big "Herb" as he is called by teammates and friends had eight tackles with two of them coming for losses. The 6' 2", 320-pound defensive tackle finished the season with 54 tackles, 13 tackles for losses, four sacks, one batted-down ball, four fumble recoveries, and one defensive touchdown.'s No. 66 rated defensive tackle had 46 tackles and eight sacks as a junior.

**Carver (LA) and RB Eugene Brazley were defeated by Evangical Christian in the third round of the playoffs. They finished their season at 8-4. Eugene suffered a high ankle sprain on the Wednesday before the game and did not get to play against Evangical.'s No. 72 rated tailback had 128 carries for 1, 320 yards and fifteen touchdowns. Brazley also has 25 receptions for 479 yards and three touchdowns.

Last season Brazley was one of the top play makers in the Big Easy as he had over 1,800 yards of offense and 24 TDs.

Ryan Buchanan

**Jackson Prep defeated Jackson Aca 34-10 to win the State Championship. The four-star QB had 120 passing yards and two touchdowns in the contest.

Ryan Buchanan finished the season 85-151 for 1,468 yards and 22 touchdowns. He has also rushed for over 200 yards.





**WR Dannon Cavil and Madison (TX) won their third round matchup against Sharyland 40-13 last Friday. Dannon had 7 receptions for 146 yards and a touchdown in the contest.

The 6' 4", 210-pound receiver now has 37 catches for 812 yards and 9TDs for the season.

Madison faces O'Connor Saturday in the State Semifnals of the Texas 6A playoffs.

**Byhalia (MS) and OT Davion Johnson lost to Cleveland Eastside 6-5 in the state semifinals. They finished their season at 9-4.

The Dandy Dozen offensive tackle totaled 108 pancake blocks this season.

Last season the 6' 5", 325-pound left tackle was named first team All-State.

**Colquitt County (GA) and WR/CB Bobby Hill were defeated by Norcross 41-27 last Friday in the Georgia State Semifinals. The Ole Miss commit had six catches for 97 yards and a touchdown in the contest.

He now has 80 catches for 1, 123 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

**LB Rashawn Smith and Florence (AL) lost to Huntsville in the opening round of the playoffs. The Ole Miss commit had 11tackles and a sack on that night.'s #108 rated outside linebacker finished the season with 106 tackles and over 250 rushing yards.

Smith was selected to the MS/AL All-Star game in December.

Christian Morgan

**Four-star TE Christian Morgan and Prestonwood Christian were defeated by St. Michaels 30-22 in the Texas quarterfinal matchup. Morgan 4 reecptions for 87 yards and a touchdown in the contest.

The country's No. 12 rated tight end ended the season with 31 catches for 497 yards and five touchdowns this season.







**Nickolas Brassell and East MS CC suffered a season ending loss to Co Linn 47-46 in stunning form as they had a kickoff returned on them with 9 seconds left. Brassell had his biggest game of the year with 12 receptions for 185 yards. This brings his season total to 48 receptions for 663 yards and six TDs.

**OT Brandon Hill and Hargrave have completed their season. The 6' 7", 378-pound right tackle started all ten games at right tackle this season and graded out at 88%
