The talented lineman talked about how the decision came about in an interview tonight with GoldenEaglePride.com.
"It first started After the Mississippi/ Alabama all-star game," he said. "Coach Buckley called me the following week and talked to me.
"I was like ok, that is Southern Miss, they are a big school so I was very excited. I knew that they were trying to turn that program around, and Coach Monken said he'd seen my film and loved what he saw. I wanted to go somewhere he they believed in me."
Bradley said he was blown away by the enthusiasm and vision of the new staff.
"He (Coach Monken) had a great background, he had coached in the NFL and at a big time program like Oklahoma State," he said. "For you to reach a level like that you have to be very good at what you do.
"When I go to college I want the best colleges. I want the best coaches possible, not only to play football but to get a degree as well."
Bradley says he can play anywhere along the line, and plans on being used from a defensive tackle to speed rusher.
He plans on taking his visit to Southern Miss the weekend of January 18th. Coach Buckley and Monken will also be coming to his house for an official visit this Friday.
Bradley chose the Eagles over offers from Memphis, Arkansas State, and Alcorn State. He said he'll spend January focusing on football and getting bigger and stronger.
"I know when I get to college I want to come in and be able to do what I can do," he added.
"I'm very excited. I haven't stopped smiling since I've decided. My mom, dad, coaches, and everyone said this is the best fit for me. I just have to finish well in school, and you'll see my as a Golden Eagle next year."
Certainly, a great start to the new year!
