Robinson Fired Up About Future At Auburn

Auburn wide receiver commitment Earnest Robinson talks about his time at the Under Armour game, the hiring of Dameyune Craig, and more.

Pinson, Ala.—While most of the high school kids around the country were spending last week dreading heading back to school, Auburn commitment Earnest Robinson had the experience of a lifetime as he took part in the Under Armour All-American game in Florida. Playing receiver for the white team and getting the opportunity to bond with players and coaches from around the country including Deion Sanders, Robinson said the week was a big one for him.

"It was pretty good," Robinson tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "I got to meet all the coaches and players and hang out with them. All of the SEC players I'm going to go against in the future, so it was pretty nice."

Working against some of the top defensive backs in the nation, the receiver said for him the week was another eye-opening experience about what to expect on the next level. Preparing to play early for the Tigers, Robinson said he realizes more than ever what it takes to make that jump.

"It was fun," Robinson said. "I got a chance to compete. It was good competition. You've got to play hard and work hard. It showed me I have to run my routes hard. You've got to catch the ball and when you catch it you've got to be tough and physical."

Playing alongside fellow Auburn commitments Carl Lawson and Dee Liner as well as longtime friend and former Auburn verbal Reuben Foster, Robinson said the week was big for him to be able to continue to talk up the Tigers and the new coaching staff with his buddies.

"It was fun," Robinson said. "We have all known each other for a while. It was fun playing with them. I wish I could play with them again. I'm about to go to Auburn and I have been talking to them. We'll see what will happen."

One of the things that has Robinson pumped up about the Tigers and his future on the Plains is the addition of Dameyune Craig as the wide receivers coach at Auburn. One of the top players in Auburn history, Craig has a great reputation on the recruiting trail and Robinson said the two already know each other well. Because of that the athletic receiver said he's Auburn all the way heading towards signing day on Feb. 6.

"It's very exciting," Robinson said. "We have been talking since he was back at Florida State. Now he's at Auburn. We have a good rapport already.

"It was big for me and he's excited to work with me," he added. "I'm really excited. I'm still going to take some visits but I'm solidly committed to Auburn. War Eagle!"

Robinson is scheduled to take his official visit to Auburn this weekend along with Pinson Valley teammate Zach Cunningham.
