The Missouri Tigers football program have been checking out multiple players as of late to bring in as possible targets for the final remaining opening to close out their 2013 recruiting class. ShowMeMizzou.com has the info on an upcoming visitor

In putting the finishing touches on their 2013 recruiting class, the Missouri Tigers have been talking to and looking at a number of defensive backs.   One of those is 2013 junior college safety prospect Duron Singleton  6'1"  210  Fresno (CA) Fresno City College, who took a few minutes to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com about his recruitment and his Missouri interest.

Singleton said that Missouri Assistant Coach Alex Grinch had paid him a visit earlier in the day.

"Coach Grinch came and talked to me today,"  said Singleton.   "I've been talking to him for a while………………………………… They have not offered me a scholarship yet………………………………….  He said that they're looking for a safety to come in and play right away.   And, he liked me.   And, he wants me to set up a visit………………………………….. I don't have a visit date at this moment."

Singleton intends to visit Auburn, Missouri, and Wisconsin.  He said that those three schools are his top schools.  All three schools want him to visit, but none of them have offered him yet.

Singleton will graduate from Fresno City College in May, and he will have two years to play two, beginning with the 2013 season.  Singleton said that he has done 16 reps in the bench press at 225 pounds, has a 37" vertical jump, and has been timed at 4.50 in the forty yard dash.  This season at Fresno City College, he had 87 tackles and four interceptions, including a pair for TDs, along with two forced fumbles and two sacks.

"I've always liked Missouri,"  said Singleton, who also said that he likes the idea of playing in the SEC.

Singleton wasn't sure when he would be visiting which schools.  He expects to have that lined out soon.

ShowMeMizzou.com will have more on Singleton later.
