Booker Hopes To Hear From Irish

While early talk has Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary 2014 linebacker Dante Booker favoring Ohio State, Booker has another program he'd like to hear more from.

Not much has changed for Dante Booker since helping Akron (Ohio) St. Vincent-St. Mary to a state championship in early December.

"Nothing has changed since football season," said Booker. "I'm just trying to stay humble and work hard. I'm still open and still weighting my options while taking it slow."

With offers from Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Illinois, Indiana and Nebraska already extended, Booker was impressed with Notre Dame's season and hopes to hear more from the Irish.

"I'm looking at Notre Dame," said Booker. "I've a got a little bit of interest in them and feel like checking them out."

For now the 6-foot-3, 217-pound linebacker is just making the transition from football to basketball.

"It hasn't been too hard," said Booker. "I've played basketball since before I was in high school. I'm just an athlete so it's kind of easy to get back into it."
