The East's Top Uncommitted Players

FOXSportsNEXT takes a look at the top uncommitted players, and the soft commits, in the East Region less than 24 hours before signing day.

A look at the top remaining uncommitted prospects, and "soft" commits, in the East Region:

Tyler Boyd, WR, Clairton High, Clairton, Pa.
Skinny: Boyd made official visits to West Virginia and Tennessee the last two weekends, but remains committed to Pittsburgh. He is getting strong pull to remain in state, but also likes the offenses at Tennessee and West Virginia. He is set to announce at 10 a.m.

Augustus Edwards, RB, Tottenville High, Staten Island, N.Y.
Skinny: Edwards huddled with his family and coaches after returning from his trip to Miami. He is down to Miami and Florida State, and it is interesting the Hurricanes just missed out on running back Alex Collins. He is announcing at 7 a.m.

E.J. Levenberry, LB, C.D. Hylton High, Woobridge, Ca.
Skinny: Levenberry was solid to Florida State for a long time but Tennessee moved in recently and got a visit out of him over the weekend. He continues to talk to the Vols aplenty and could be ready to make a signing day flip.

Laray Smith, RB, Xaverian High, Brooklyn, New York
Skinny: Smith returned from his official visit to Indiana, and said he was just about sure that is where he would land. He likes the mix of track and football the Hoosiers offer, and it will be hard for Syracuse and Connecticut move in so late on this one.

Tashawn Bower, DE, Immaculata High, Somerville, N.J.
Skinny: Auburn received an unofficial visit over the weekend and Bower had a fantastic time. He is also getting strong interest from Florida, which is talking to him plenty and made a visit to see him Friday. LSU and Florida State are also in the mix.

Jahmere Irvin-Sills, CB, Eastern Christian Academy, Elkton, Md.
Skinny: The one-time Auburn commit visited Mississippi State a few weeks ago but at this point doesn't have much on the table. A school can move in late and grab Irvin-Sills, but at this point it doesn't look like he will sign Wednesday.

Reggie McGee, OLB, Our Lady Good Counsel, Olney, Md.
McGee was committed to Houston but that fell apart. He is looking for a school, but at this time no one is solid. He is not expected to sign Wednesday.

Yannick Ngakoue, LB, Edison Friendship High, Washington, D.C.
Skinny: Ngakoue is down to Maryland, South Carolina and Florida State, but at this time it looks like it will be a battle between the Terps and Gamecocks. The Terps picked up steam in the last few days and it helps teammate and close friend Derwin Gray will sign with them.

Damon Mitchell, QB, Cedar Creek High, Egg Harbor City, N.J.
Skinny: This is a crazy saga in which Mitchell was told he would lose his scholarship from Georgia Tech if he made a visit to Arkansas, then made the visit but the scholarship is back on the table. It was a minor upset he left Arkansas without committing but the Razorbacks are still in good shape. If signing day mayhem happens, Mitchell could slide to Rutgers, but that doesn't seem likely at this point.
