U of L makes final cut for '14 No. 1 PF

Indianapolis Tech junior standout Trey Lyles as cut his list of schools to six and the University of Louisville has made the cut. Lyles made a visit to U of L last weekend and his father told Cardinal Authority it was "very positive."

Indianapolis Tech standout Trey Lyles isn't planning on making a college decision until after his senior season.

But the nations top power forward in the Class of 2014 has narrowed his list down to try and focus on learning about and watching six schools.

And the University of Louisville is on the list.

The 6-foot-9 Lyles posted his final list on Instagram, noting in "no order," with U of L joining Kentucky, Florida, Duke, UCLA and Butler on the list.

"I'm just focused on those schools," said Lyles told the Indianapolis Star. "I like the style they play, they have rich legacies, have good coaches and I feel like I could be comfortable at any of them."

Lyles, who is averaging 20 points and 17 rebounds a game for Tech, attended the U of L vs. Marquette game last weekend with his parents. It was his first visit to the U of L campus for a game at the KFC Yum! Center.

"It was a good time and a great atmosphere," said Tom Lyles, the prospects father. "We spent some time with coach (Rick) Pitino. We just wanted to get a feel for what it was like. It was very, very positive."
