Joined by several teammates including safety Kirk Tucker and cornerback Dominick Sanders, Dukes made a return trip to Auburn to let his friends get a feel for the campus, but that wasn't the only reason.
Auburn is one of the teams high on Dukes' radar early the process and because of that he says it was very important for his family to get a look at the Tigers. Following the trip he notes they really enjoyed the academic aspect at Auburn and everything about the program.
"It wasn't any different," Dukes says. "I just came back to let my parents meet the coaching staff and get to know them even better. That's very big for me because when I went there the first time they weren't with me. They wanted to know what I was getting into and what Auburn was all about. It was very beneficial. "It was awesome," he adds. "I wanted them to be able to experience what I experienced in meeting the coaches. I wanted them to see where I was coming from so we all could be on the same page."
In addition to Auburn, Dukes also has offers from Indiana, Louisville, North Carolina, State, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and several others. With plenty of options at the moment he says he's currently holding at three favorites and thinks that's how things will remain until he makes his decision sometime before his senior season.
"Right now Louisville, Vanderbilt, and Auburn, that's my top three," Dukes says. "I think that will be the top three the rest of this process. I don't have a favorite. They are all about the same.
"I would like to make my decision during the summer," he adds. "I want to get it done so I can focus and get ready for the season."
