Early Offers for Recent OL Visitor to Auburn

Florence's Cole Hardin has two early offers and talks about his recent trip to Auburn.

Florence, Ala.—A big offensive lineman who has added early offers from Memphis and Southern Miss, Cole Hardin is one of several talented players for Coach Jamey Dubose in the 2014 class along with prospects such as quarterback Kendrick Doss and safety Quade Alexander.

Recently all three, along with several more teammates, were on the Auburn campus to talk with Coach Gus Malzahn and his staff and also get a tour of the campus and facilities. Spending time with the coaches, especially offensive line coach J.B. Grimes, Hardin says he enjoyed everything about his trip.

"It was real fun," the 6-5, 286 Hardin says. "The campus was great. I love the coaches. Coach J.B. Grimes is awesome. He reminds me a lot of my high school coach, Coach (Mike) Hand. It's just a family environment. That's what they preach and what they show."

While the staff is still in the process of getting to know each other heading into their first spring practice together, Hardin says he can already see the group coming together just based on his visit.

"They act like they've been coaching together forever," Hardin says. "For it to just be their first year, they really impress me."

Holding two offers and hearing from Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Oregon State, Hardin says that he likes what he's hearing from Auburn at the moment. Planning to make another trip to see the Tigers in spring practice, he's hoping to get some good news later this spring when Grimes returns the favor with a trip to Florence.

"Coach Grimes says he really likes my highlight tape," Hardin says. "They want to get me back in the spring and he said he'll be down when we start spring practice to check me out even more."
