JUCO forward looking around

Junior College player Chris Griffin is back on the market.

With Mike Rice no longer at Rutgers, Junior College standout Chris Griffin has backed off his pledge to the Scarlet Knights.

"Right now he's wide open," Griffin's former coach and mentor Chris Ayers told Scout.com.

Griffin, of Wabash Community College, committed to Rutgers on March 25th. He picked them over Auburn.

The Tigers are back in the mix for Griffin. San Francisco and St. Bonaventure are also working to get him on campus. Texas and Mississippi State have both made calls to his camp this week.

"He is going on a visit to Auburn this weekend," Ayers said.

Griffin is a 6-foot-7 forward originally from Tallahassee (Fla.).
