Price Transferring From Auburn Program

Signing six players in this year's recruiting class meant someone wasn't returning next season for the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn freshman guard Jordan Price won't be returning to the program a university spokesman confirmed on Friday.

Signing six players in this year's recruiting class meant Auburn was going to be one player over the limit of allowed scholarships before Price's departure cleared that up.

A talented shooter, Price averaged just 5.4 points per game last season for the Tigers while shooting 39 percent from three-point range. Price made 11 consecutive three-pointers during a stretch last season. He played in 27 games with five starts as a true freshman.

It's not known where Price intends to transfer. He will have to sit out next season if he winds up at another Division 1 school.
