Williams will stay home

Tre Williams has made his decision and he will let the world know about it later this week. He will not be going too far from home...

"I am down to Alabama and Auburn," Tre Williams told Scout on Monday.

Williams is down to two in-state schools and two schools that have been recruiting him since he was a freshman.

The 6-foot-2, 225 pound linebacker out of Mobile (Ala.) St. Pauls Episcopal School had options from coast to coast, but he has settled on one not too far from home.

He will announce his decision at his school Wednesday afternoon at 3:15pm CST.

Williams knows which school he will choose.

"I made my decision last week," he said.

Williams is the No. 3 inside linebacker in the country on Scout and the No. 3 prospect in Alabama.

Chad Simmons is currently a National Recruiting Analyst for FOX Sports/Scout. He started with Scout in 2003 and then moved on to another Recruiting Service from 2004-2008 before returning to Scout the first of 2009 to become South Recruiting Manager.
