Prescod Earns Auburn Offer After Camp

Big offensive lineman Terrone Prescod earned an offer from the Auburn Tigers following his camp experience. He talks about the Tigers and more in this interview.

Decatur, Ga.--A player who had been to Auburn several times hoping for an offer, big offensive lineman Terrone Prescod from Columbia High, decided he would have to earn it. Taking part in Auburn's two-day team camp on Friday and Saturday, Prescod dominated the competition to earn Lineman MVP honors and also left with an offer from the Tigers.

"The camp was great," Prescod says. "There was a lot of great competition. I just wanted to come over and prove I could play and show the coaches. I got some good news after.

"When they offered I felt great. I wanted to commit on the spot, but I have to get everybody else into it like my family and coaching staff."

A massive 6-4, 335-pounder, Prescod showed good feet and hands as he went undefeated in the camp. Getting the chance to show what he could do in front of Auburn OL Coach J.B. Grimes, Prescod says it was big for him to continue building that relationship with the new staff while also showing what he was capable of.

"It was very important to me," Prescod says. "It was a little bit of a slow start with the new coaching staff. We have come a long way and are getting along good now.

"They are great coaches," he adds. "It seems like a family. They seem like they want me to learn and get better every time they talk with me."

Currently rated a three-star offensive guard by, Prescod now holds offers from Auburn, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Marshall, North Carolina State, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Missouri and several more schools. While he notes he's currently focused on four schools, there's no doubt the Auburn offer could speed up the recruiting process for the big lineman this summer.

"Auburn is very close to number one right now," Prescod says. "It's Auburn, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech, and Missouri. Auburn might be the leader now. I would like to make a decision this summer before my senior season."
