AU One-Day Football Camp News & Notes

Updates on Auburn's June one-day football camp for prospects are featured.

Auburn, Ala.--Auburn's first of two one-day summer football camps featured an impressive group of quarterbacks on offense and defensive ends with plenty of quickness.

Coach Gus Malzahn's Tigers played host to 560 prospects on Sunday from the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 classes. Addressing the group at the end of the event that lasted all day, including a break for lunch at Jordan-Hare Stadium, the head coach told the prospects that it was as impressive a group as he had seen at an Auburn football camp.

The group of quarterbacks included Tyler Queen from North Cobb High and DeAndre Johnson from First Coast High in Jacksonville, Fla., prospects who picked up scholarship offers from the Tigers after the camp.

Two of Johnson's teammates at First Coast, defensive ends Spencer Williams and Raashed Kennion, also got offers from the Tigers. Other defensive ends who looked impressive at the camp included John Michael from Carver High School in Montgomery and A.J. Wooten from Barrien, Ga., High.

Among the quarterback prospects at the event were class of 2015 recruits Lorenzo Nunez from Harrison High in Marietta, Ga., and Caleb Wilson from North Oconee, Ga., High. Jawan Pass from Carver High in Columbus, Ga., and Bradley Northcutt from Auburn High are class of 2016 QB prospects.
