Prescod Getting Close To A Decision

Big offensive lineman Terronne Prescod discusses his visit to Auburn on Sunday and his plans for making a decision.

Decatur, Ga.—Getting an offer from the Auburn Tigers last week following a MVP performance in a team camp, big offensive lineman Terronne Prescod was back on the Plains on Sunday to watch the one-day camp and to talk with Coach Gus Malzahn and offensive line coach J.B. Grimes.

Originally the plan was for both he and his mother to make the trip so Prescod could make his decision in the coming days, but while his mom wasn't able to get to Auburn on Sunday the three-star guard says his plans haven't changed.

"I think I should make my decision next week," Prescod says. "I think it will be Sunday or Monday. The top schools right now are Auburn, Ole Miss, North Carolina State, Georgia Tech and Missouri.

"It's really between Auburn and N.C. State," he adds despite saying he's only made one trip to N.C. State and estimated 10 trips to Auburn. "Both of them have a family vibe. The coaches are real cool. They are keeping in touch and they're recruiting me real hard. They are about neck and neck right now."

On Sunday, Prescod was able to not only check out the camp but to also spend some time with several players already committed to Auburn including Jakell Mitchell and DeShaun Davis. He notes it was great to meet them and he got a little pep talk from both.

"It was cool," Prescod says. "They told me Auburn had a family kind of vibe. They said not only the coaches helped them back a decision, but also the players and the fans."

Prescod says he and his mom will visit North Carolina State on June 28 and Auburn on July 7th or July 8th. He says he wants her to see the educational programs at both so she will know he has a back-up plan in case football doesn't work out. Prescod adds that he'll still take the visits even after he makes his decision.
