6 Tigers On All-SEC Teams, AU Picked 5th

A half dozen Tigers have been selected to preseason All-SEC teams selected at SEC Media Days.

Hoover, Ala.--Six Auburn players were chosen to one of the all-conference teams selected at the 2013 SEC Football Media Days.

A pair of juniors, running back Tre Mason and center Reese Dismukes, were selected to the second team on offense.

Mason is looking to rush for 1,000-plus yards for a second straight season.

Senior end Dee Ford is a second team pick defensively with senior cornerback Chris Davis on the third team. Davis and Ford represented the Tigers at media days along with fullback Jay Prosch.

Senior kicker Cody Parkey was named a second team All-SEC player while senior Steven Clark is the third team punter.

Last season at SEC Media Days five Auburn players were selected with tight end Philip Lutzenkirchen and junior defensive end Cory Lemonier first team picks, Wide receiver Emory Blake and Clark were second team picks and linebacker Daren Bates a third team selection.

Senior wide receiver Emory Blake and junior punter Steven Clark have been chosen for the second team.

In voting for the league race the Tigers were picked to finish fifth in the SEC West behind Alabama, Texas A&M, LSU and Ole Miss and ahead of Mississippi State and Arkansas. Alabama was picked to win the overall league title over Georgia.

Behind Georgia in the SEC East are the Gamecocks of South Carolina, Florida, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Missouri and Kentucky.
