A 6-2, 215 linebacker that is also being recruited as a safety by several schools, Stephen Davis Jr. said that he recently got some news that was unexpected to him as his dad's former school offered him a scholarship.
"I was kind of shocked," Davis said of getting an Auburn offer. "My dad's team just offered me. It was like ‘wow'. It feels kind of good. It just feels so great. My dad has told me a little about them. I'm thinking about them. I'm not sure yet if I want to go there, but he's just going to keep talking to me about them. We'll see how it goes from there."

Being recruited for the ‘star' safety position in Auburn's defense, Davis said that his only trip to Auburn was in 2010 when the Tigers took down South Carolina. He added that his dad has told him plenty about the campus and he's looking forward to learning more for himself.
"It was a great environment," Davis said. "My dad likes the War Eagle and when it flies around. The trees (Toomer's Corner) now that they had to cut it down, he loved the trees. Just the fanbase, he loves them."
In addition to Auburn, Davis said that he already has offers from Clemson, South Carolina. Florida, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Missouri and Tennessee even though he still has two years left to play high school football.
"It feels good," Davis said. "I keep God in my head. I wouldn't be here without my teammates. The front seven are all good. My dad says to stay humble and not to let anything get to my head."
