"It's a good feeling," Flowers said, "but we made some mistakes that we have to correct in practice to get better. I don't think that I played as hard as I could have."
With a tight game early on Flowers helped lead the Wolves down the field setting up a teammate for a score, then put the game out of reach with a score of his own in the third quarter to make it 21-0.
"It's a real good feeling to get a rushing touchdown," Flowers said. "When I'm running with the football that's all I'm thinking about it scoring.
"I just saw grass and I went for it," he added.
Flowers doesn't get an excessive amount of carries for Vigor, splitting time in the backfield along side Cameron Cole.
"They're a really good 1-2 punch for us," head coach Ashley Johnson said, "because our other back is more of a scat-back type. They really complement each other. We've got a really big offensive line. We are kind of a pound-them team. He can really get the offense going."
Flowers was the first commitment for the class of 2015 for Alabama, giving his pledge on April 12, 2013 after a visit.
"When I went up there I liked them, and they treated me like family," he said. "I talked with some of the players and some of the coaches and I just liked being up there.
"It's a good program. They win, they have a good team, they play hard, they're disciplined and they execute."
