Pat's Picks: Coach Dye Predicts Week 10 Games

Hall of Fame coach Pat Dye predicts winners and losers for this week's college football games in the SEC and around the country.

For Auburn the month of November features four Southeastern Conference games starting with Saturday's road trip to Arkansas. I know Arkansas is coming off of two lopsided losses to South Carolina and Alabama, but I still believe the Razorbacks are a dangerous team so it will be important for Gus Malzahn's team to come out focused again this week.

So far this season the Tigers have played hard each week and there is no reason to let up now because this team has so much to play for with a 7-1 record and signs that it is improving.

This isn't a great week for matchups around the SEC or the country, but there are some games worth watching.

Here are this week's picks:

Southern Cal at Oregon State--The Beavers have the homefield advantage and better offense, which should be too much for the Trojans to overcome.

Wisconsin at Iowa--The Badgers are solid and should be able to win on the road Saturday in what could be a competitive game.

Michigan at Michigan State--I like the Spartans to win at home in a matchup of ranked teams. Michigan State's defense should be the difference.

Oklahoma State at Texas Tech--After suffering a loss to Oklahoma the Red Raiders will be ready to bounce back and win this week in what should be a good game.

Miami at Florida State--Both are unbeaten, but the Seminoles have been much more impressive so far this season. I will be surprised if FSU doesn't win by a comfortable margin.

In this week's SEC games scheduled for Saturday:

Mississippi State at South Carolina--The Gamecocks are the better all-around team and need this win to stay in the SEC East race. With quarterback Connor Shaw back in action South Carolina should be able to handle the Bulldogs.

Georgia at Florida--Both teams are 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the SEC, but only one team has a top-notch quarterback. Look for Aaron Murray to lead Georgia to a victory.

Tennessee at Missouri--The Tigers lost a heartbreaker last week, but will still be in good shape in the SEC East race if they can knock off the Vols. Missouri's solid defense should be the difference in this matchup.

Alabama State at Kentucky--The Wildcats need a win and no matter who it is against, even a FCS opponent like Alabama State. Look for Kentucky's five-game losing streak to end on Saturday.

UTEP at Texas A&M--This should be an easy win for the Aggies against an opponent that has won just one time in seven starts.

Auburn at Arkansas--One of the most interesting things to me about Auburn's schedule in the month of November is the Tigers will be playing teams that run similar styles of offense that should challenge the defensive front and linebackers to contain the run. We should get a good idea of how much progress Auburn has made in this area on Saturday in Fayetteville.

I think the visiting Tigers are a better football team, both offensively and defensively. The only advantage Arkansas has for this game is being played in Fayetteville and that won't be enough for the Razorbacks to upset the Tigers.

(Last week's record: 7-3)

(Overall Record: 90-21)
