The Northern Illinois commit has one thing on his mind right now, finishing his career the right way.
"We are getting ready for the big playoff game tomorrow," Lewis told GoldenEaglePride.com tonight.
"It is a big one. I feel like we have the talent and ability to make a deep run in the playoffs. We just need everything to come together. We have a great group of seniors who have led this team all season, and we feel we can make a deep run in the playoffs."
Lewis talked about the recruiting process as well and a big offer he just picked up from Southern Miss.
"I'll be honest, I was very excited about that offer from Southern Miss," Lewis said. "I've had my eye on their program for a while.
"When I went to visit there in the summer, I went with my teammate Demetrius Kemp and we always had a blast. I loved the school and the program, the coaches were amazing.
"They told me they would be watching me after camp, and I guess after seeing my film they were ready to make an offer. I'm very excited about this offer.
For now, he remains committed to Northern Illinois.
"I'll keep my commitment for now but I'm going to take my visits and decide on the best place for me."
"Coach Woz and Coach Monken have talked to me a lot, and they are both great guys.
He's also hearing from Minnesota, Rutgers, and Western Kentucky among others.
