A-List Group Of Prospects Expected For AU-UGA

Auburn is large group of big-time prospects for Saturday's showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs including numerous 5-star talents.

Auburn, Ala.--With No. 7 Auburn and No. 25 Georgia facing off against one another on Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium, it should be the perfect atmosphere for Coach Gus Malzahn and his staff to host many of the top prospects on Auburn's recruiting board for the 2014 and 2015 classes. Expecting a pair of official visitors as well as several hundred unofficial guests, the Tigers have a chance to show off the program once again on one of college football's biggest stages.

A four-star wide receiver prospect, wide receiver Travis Rudolph from Cardinal Newman High in West Palm Beach, Fla. will take an official visit to check out the Tigers this weekend after already checking out Ohio State, Tennessee and Florida State. With a visit to Alabama still in the works, the nation's number 27 wide receiver has over 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air this season. With a strong relationship with position coach Dameyune Craig, the Tigers are definitely in the mix for this top receiver.

One of the top offensive tackle prospects in the country when he signed with Florida State way back in 2011, junior college standout Jordan Prestwood is well-traveled following stops at Notre Dame and now at Arizona Western Community College. At 6-6, 285, Prestwood is being recruited as a tight end by Auburn and is a position he wants to play on the next level. Already with a strong relationship with Malzahn and Craig, Prestwood has already visited Florida State and has a trip to Kentucky scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving.

With a large group of upperclassmen dominating the playing rotation at defensive tackle, that is one of the needs for the Tigers moving forward. A player that will take an unofficial visit this weekend, but possibly in Auburn's plans moving forward, is junior college standout Dalvon Stuckey. Currently committed to Miami, Stuckey is a former Florida State commitment out of Defuniak Springs, Fla. Now at Pearl River (Miss) in junior college, Stuckey is very familiar with Auburn WR Coach Dameyune Craig and that can't hurt Auburn's chances if they decide to make a strong push at Stuckey.

Another top defensive line prospect expected to visit this weekend is four-star defensive end Andrew Williams from Eagles Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Ga. Making the trip along with fellow prospect Josh Shockley (LB), Williams has the Tigers in his top group and will be joined by his dad to check out the Tigers and the Bulldogs.

He'll get to spend some time with another top prospect, Auburn High standout Rashaan Evans. A five-star on Scout.com, Evans could play a number of different positions, but is being recruited as a ‘star' by the Tigers. He's also looking at Alabama, Georgia and UCLA.

Massive junior college defensive tackle Daniel Ross is another one to keep an eye on this weekend. Taking an unofficial trip to check out Auburn, the former Kentucky signee is currently at Northeast Mississippi Community College and is looking at Kentucky, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. He does not have an offer from Auburn at the moment, but that could change moving forward.

Already with his teammate Raashed Kennion committed to Auburn, speedy defensive end Spencer Williams will make the trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium as a Cincinnati commitment, but no doubt checking out the Tigers a little closer. A standout at a summer camp, Williams is a speedster off the edge and would provide an immediate impact rushing the passer.

Also expected in on Saturday is a large group of underclassmen on the defensive line including 2015 five-star defensive tackles Daron Payne from Shades Valley and Trenton Thompson from Westover High in Albany. Other young defensive linemen that should be in attendance include 2016 Marlon Davidson from Greenville (younger brother of Kenneth Carter), 2015 DE Quandeski Whitlow from Opelika, 2015 DE Anfernee Jennings from Dadeville, 2015 DE Arden Key from MLK in Lithonia, Ga. and big 2016 DT Curtis Beamon from Huffman in Birmingham.

In the secondary the Tigers are also looking for playmakers and one of the best is 2015 cornerback Terry Godwin from Callaway High in Hogansville, Ga. A five-star for the next class, Godwin is also capable of playing wide receiver in college. Currently committed to Southern Miss, Demetrius Kemp from Demopolis is definitely a player that is still on Auburn's radar. A safety with the range to cover a lot of ground, Kemp is someone to watch for down the line in recruiting for the Tigers. The same is true of Markell Boston. A physical safety from East Coweta (Ga.), Boston has blossomed as a senior and has several offers including Mississippi State.

Other defensive visitors include:

DeShaun Davis--Auburn commitment

While some of Auburn's biggest offensive targets are already onboard and visiting this weekend including five-star running back Racean Thomas, fellow running back Kamryn Pettway, wide receivers Stanton Truitt and Myron Burton, 2015 QB Tyler Queen and tight ends Chris Laye and Jakell Mitchell, there should still be plenty of offensive standouts on the Plains Saturday including many talented underclassmen.

Leading the way is big offensive lineman Tyler Carr from Southside-Gadsden. Expected to visit along with talented 2016 teammate Alaric Williams, Carr is considered one of the top offensive linemen in the South for the 2015 class.

Also expected in are two of the top young tight ends in the country, Landon Rice from Rome, Ga. and Isaac Nauta from Buford, Ga. Both are considered top 2016 prospects and will be making return trips to the Plains. Another player making a return trip to Auburn is 2017 QB Jake Bentley from powerhouse Byrnes High in South Carolina. Already with an offer from the Tigers, Bentley will visit along with brother Shuler Bentley.
