Norton names three

Junior OL/DL Kendrick Norton names the three schools he favors at this time. He plays offensive guard and defensive tackle for Jacksonville Trinity Christian.

2015 offensive guard/defensive tackle prospect Kendrick Norton will be one of the most sought after big men from the Sunshine State in the next class. Norton is 6-foot-2, 300 plus pounds and he currently has three teams that standout.

"Florida State, Florida and Auburn right now," Norton said. "They are my three favorites."

Norton has had the opportunity to get out and see some school and watch some games this fall. He's been to Florida, Florida State, USF and Auburn.

"I like coach [Will] Muschamp and the way they play defense," Norton said. "Of course my friend Nick Washington is there.

"I like coach Gus Malzahn and that staff. They are Christian coaches.

"I like coach [Odell] Haggins at FSU. He's a very down to earth guy.

"This spring and summer I would like to get out and see as many schools as possible."

As you can tell in how he responded to some of his answers above, Norton wants to play on the defensive side of the ball, although he will likely end up playing offensive guard.

"I definitely prefer defense," Norton said. "All of those schools play physical football and I love how they play run defense.

"I am just looking to make my decision whenever I feel comfortable."
