Buie favors Tigers

Sophomore running back Jalin Buie favors the Auburn Tigers. He will be a much coveted running back prospect from Jacksonville Trinity Christian in the 2016 class.

Jalin Buie is only a sophomore but this Jacksonville Trinity Christian standout sure is getting plenty of attention. He currently hold verbal scholarship offers from schools like Auburn, Tennessee, Louisville, Boston College, Duke, Indiana, Maryland and several others.

"I am a shifty back," Buie said. "I have breakaway speed and I can find the hole. I can change direction and make the big play."

Yes he can. Buie is a big reason why they beat Tampa Catholic in the state semi-finals last week. He took over in the third quarter as they came out of halftime behind on the scoreboard. For a 5-foot-7, 175-pound, he can run with power. He's tough between the tackles and can run through or by defenders. He showed that all today on one long touchdown run against Clearwater Central Catholic.

For now, Buie says he has one time that stands out. Well, kind of. It's still awfully early for Buie, as he still has two plus year until his national signing day.

"Maybe Auburn," Buie said. "I really like Gus Malzahn's offense. We do a lot of the same things. They have offered and I have been up there and will go back."
