Auburn Signee Profile: Myron Burton

Peachtree Ridge wide receiver Myron Burton has signed scholarship papers to play for Coach Gus Malzahn's Auburn football team.

Auburn Signee: Myron Burton is a 6-2, 197 senior at Peachtree Ridge High in Suwanee, Ga.

:Position/Scout Ranking: He is rated three stars as the No. 100 ranked wide receiver prospect in the country.

Auburn's Main Competition: He had a variety of offers, including ones from Tennessee and Clemson.

Why Auburn Signed Him: The Tigers were looking to add wide receivers with a combination of good size, good speed and soft hands, something that describes the prospect from suburban Atlanta.

Myron Burton

Quoting Burton: "He (Auburn wide receivers coach Dameyune Craig) played freshmen and he's not scared to put you out there early. I saw that really every wide receiver got a chance to play. I like that in a pro"gram.

Worth Noting: Burton raised his stock with the Auburn coaching staff with a strong performance at an AU summer camp. His father, Myron Burton, played on Auburn's unbeaten 1993 football team.
