Position/Scout Ranking: He is rated four stars as the No. 18 cornerback prospect in the country.
Why Auburn Signed Him: In addition to Ruffin's potential as a collegian, he is a big pickup for the Tigers at a position of need. The Tigers were short on depth at cornerback in 2013 and have to replace starter Chris Davis and top backup Ryan White.
Quoting Ruffin: "I'm very excited. We've got pretty much the entire team coming back. Of course, we are losing Tre Mason and (Greg) Robinson, but you've still got Corey Grant and still got (Cameron) Artis-Payne and we're bringing in a great class. I don't know how everybody else feels but my motto is going to be 13 seconds. That's all it is, 13 seconds away. That's the motto and something to keep in the back of my head while I'm training all offseason. That's 13 seconds that if I don't put in could be the difference in taking us to the national championship."
Worth Noting: The U.S. Army All-American committed to the Tigers early, making his decision after visiting AU with family members during Auburn's Big Cat Weekend last May.
