Position/Scout Ranking: He is rated three stars as the No. 67 running back prospect in the country.
Auburn's Main Competition: He chose Auburn over Florida State where he originally committed following his junior season.
Why Auburn Signed Him: With good speed and the ability to effectively run the football inside or outside, the Tigers targeted the big back early in the recruiting process because of his physical style of play and the potential to contribute early as a collegian.
Kamryn Pettway is shown during practice for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game his team won.
Quoting Pettway: "They've (Auburn) done so much in one year. I just know there is going to be a lot more for us in the 2014 class coming in. We're going to have a lot more opportunities like that also."
Worth Noting: He rushed for 1,000-plus yards in back-to-back seasons. As a senior he rushed for 1,402 yards and 17 touchdowns while averaging 8.3 yards per carry despite playing behind an inexperienced offensive line. Pettway was the first 2014 signee to commit to Coach Gus Malzahn's Tigers.
