Byrnes (S.C) Coach To Join Auburn Staff

One of the most successful high school coaches in the country is expected to join Auburn's staff for the 2014 season.

One of the top high school coaches in the country is making the move to Auburn to join the staff in an off-the-field position as Byrnes (S.C.) High Coach Bobby Bentley is expected to take over the role of offensive analyst for the Tigers, working specifically with the quarterbacks.

Bentley previously served as the Rebels' head coach from 1995-2006, compiling an overall record of 107-52. He won four state titles in consecutive years from 2002-2005, posting a 57-2 record during the span.

Taking the head coaching job at Presbyterian College for two seasons, Bentley returned to Byrnes and led them to a 12-2 record and a berth in the semi-finals this past season.

Auburn has already offered his son, freshman quarterback Jake Bentley. He's expected to be one of the top players at his position in the country as a senior.
