After signing with former Auburn head coach Gene Chizik's staff he was eager play at Auburn for the 2012 season. However, after he arrived on campus AU officials had questions about his high school transcript.
Robinson had already started preseason practices at Auburn when school officials decided he was not academically eligible and could not be admitted to the university because of concerns that his transcript could have been altered so he returned home to Memphis.
Robinson was out of football while his academic situation was sorted out until he enrolled at Georgia Military's College where he played during the 2013 season.
Robinson's position coach at Georgia Military College, David Winston, said that Auburn is once again recruiting the running back. He noted that Robinson talked with Auburn's head coach, Gus Malzahn, and assistant coaches Rhett Lashlee and Tim Horton on Wednesday. The running back is scheduled to visit Auburn sometime in the coming week, the juco coach said.
As a freshman Robinson rushed for 2,387 yards and 34 touchdowns on 272 carries, an average of 8.8 yards per game as he helped GMC reach the junior college national championship game.

A U.S. Army All-American at Wooddale High School, Robinson rushed for 1,069 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior. When he signed with the Tigers he picked AU over Alabama, Memphis, Miami and other colleges.
The only tailback signee in Auburn's 2012 class, Robinson participated in Auburn's second preseason scrimmage on August 8th of that year before being held out of practice while AU officials decided whether or not he could enroll for fall semester classes.
