Big-Time Linebacker Has Tigers On Top

Talented linebacker Jeff Holland talks about his trip to Auburn and what he saw from the Tigers that puts them at the top.

Jacksonville, Fla.--With Auburn and Florida the leaders before his visit to check out the Tigers on Saturday, big-time linebacker Jeff Holland from Trinity Christian School was on hand to see a crowd of more than 70,000 at Jordan-Hare Stadium for the annual A-Day game. Spending the day with teammate and newest Auburn commitment Ben Edwards, Holland said he now has a new leader for his services.

"I had a great time," Holland said. "It was a great experience and a great atmosphere. I just love the coaching staff and the players. That's one main thing is the players you're going to be around the next four or five years of your life, and they are phenomenal. I had a great time with them.

"Auburn is my number one," he added. "I love the coaching staff. They are real. Coach Gus Malzahn is a pretty cool guy. I had a good, long talk with him today and he told me the things I could come in and do and what position I could play, the star position. I heard that's a big role on the team."

A physical linebacker with the size and speed to play outside or even inside on Auburn's defense if needed, Holland said the Tigers have definitely made a big impact on him after seeing the program once again. As for the influence his teammate may have on his decision moving forward, Holland said that could be very important.

"We talk about playing together all the time," Holland said. "It will play into my decision a lot."
