Throwing the ball well and showing the versatility Auburn is looking for in its quarterbacks to run Gus Malzahn's system, Pass said the day went perfect working with Lashlee and ended up with an offer from the Tigers.
"It was great," Pass tells Inside The Auburn Tigers. "He said that he liked everything about me. He said I threw the ball well. He's real cool and a good teacher. He keeps it real and is a good guy all the way around.
"Getting the offer, I was just excited," he added. "I have been waiting on that offer. I was just excited to finally get it."
Playing his football just down the road from Auburn, Pass said he has always kept up with the Tigers and especially the last few seasons. Watching as first Cam Newton and then Nick Marshall excelled in Malzahn's system, he said that it's a perfect fit as well for what he brings to the table.
"Auburn just fits me," Pass said. "They are just right down the road and they are one of my top schools. I will consider them a lot.
"I think everything about the offense fits me," he added. "Everything they are doing now we are doing right now in high school. From the read-option to everything, it just fits me."
Already with offers from schools such as Clemson, Florida, Miami, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Texas A&M, Pass said he's in no hurry to make a decision with still two seasons of high school football left. Not even beginning to sort through his programs yet, he said when the time comes Auburn is going to be there.
"They are in my top group right now," Pass said. "I'm still wide open. They are at the top of my list, one of them at the top. I haven't really visited anywhere else yet so I'm not sure who else is in there."
