Devaroe Lawrence (94, above) is a new defensive lineman for the Tigers after playing last season at Georgia Military College. He is a redshirt sophomore.

Auburn, Ala.--Photos of Auburn’s 2014 preseason football practices are featured. The defending SEC champions will open their schedule August 30th with a home game vs. Arkansas.

Austin Golson (73), a transfer from Ole Miss, goes through his first practice as an Auburn player. Before signing with the Rebels the offensive lineman played at Prattville High School. He will be redshirting this season. Devonte Danzey (53) is a junior offensive guard.

Avery Young (left) started at right tackle last year, but could be moving inside to right guard as a redshirt sophomore. Reese Dismukes (center) is scheduled to start at center for a fourth consecutive year.

Davonte Lambert is expected to challenge for immediate playing time at defensive end. He is a junior after transferring to Auburn from Georgia Military College.

Cassanova McKinzy, a starter at weakside linebacker last season, is moving to middle linebacker as a junior.

Gabe Wright heads into his senior season as a player who could see action at defensive tackle, where he started last season, as well as defensive end. Wright represented Auburn at SEC Media Days.

Johnathan Ford played running back and cornerback last season. This year he is playing safety for the Tigers.

Anthony Swain, who missed spring practice due to an off-the-field issue, is back to compete for playing time as a junior.

Jakell Mitchell, a freshman from Opelika High, is shown at his second college practice on Saturday. His father, Mario Mitchell, played college football at Troy.
