No. 5 Auburn takes on Louisiana Tech this weekend in a 3 p.m. kickoff on the SEC Network following a road win at Kansas State; while No. 17 LSU faces New Mexico State at home after falling in Tiger Stadium to Mississippi State.
The LSU game starts one of the most difficult schedule runs any team has likely had to manage as Auburn will face seven teams currently ranked in the Top 17 of the AP poll in its final eight games. In this week's rankings Alabama is ranked third, Texas A&M is sixth, Ole Miss 10th, Georgia is 12th, South Carolina one spot behind at 13th, and Mississippi State 14th.The weekend in the SEC is the first this year to include a full slate of SEC-only games.
