DeFoor Enjoys First Look At Auburn

Jack DeFoor talks about his weekend visit to Auburn.

Rome, Ga.--An offensive line prospect that continues to see his stock rise in the recruiting process, big Jack DeFoor from Calhoun High took a visit to Auburn along with teammate and Tigers’ commitment Landon Rice last weekend and left impressed by what he saw.

“It was a good experience and a good visit,” DeFoor said. “They’ve got nice facilities. The coaches are all good. Landon says really nice things about it.”

At 6-4, 265, DeFoor is a physical lineman that joins forces with Rice to give Calhoun an imposing line of scrimmage. With recent offers from Michigan and Missouri among others, he now has an impressive list building with schools such as Cincinnati, Clemson, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech all onboard.

With plenty of time left before he has to make a decision, DeFoor said he hopes to make a return trip to Auburn to see the Tigers again. Between now and then he said he’ll just keep working hard to try to earn that elusive offer from a school he likes following his trip.

“I don’t have an offer yet, but they said they like my film,” DeFoor said of Auburn. “They thought I was a good player so hopefully I’ll get one soon. I just like the winning and tradition they have there. That’s probably the biggest thing.”
