“It was more of something for my mom,” Stove said. “She was more focused on the academics and my dad was more focused on the environment and everything. It was a more balanced visit because usually my dad focuses on football.
“They were both real impressed,” he added. “Usually he doesn’t talk about it, but this time he did because my mom was there.”
While the Tigers weren’t on the practice field it didn’t stop Stove from getting plenty of football discussions in with the Auburn staff. Spending 45 minutes talking with the coaches while in town, Stove said the best part of the day happened when they took a break.
“We already had a really good relationship, but we built a bigger one because I had lunch with him and Coach Malzahn and Coach Lashlee,” Stove said of Craig. “That was pretty cool honestly. I know they want me a lot. It’s just something I really have to think about when I commit to a school.”
“They’re on my top for sure,” Stove said. “I have a good connection with all of the coaches and stuff too. Every time I’m there I have a good time and just chill.”
