“It’s just a great experience,” Brown said of getting the invitation. “I have been training every day trying to get here and I finally got the opportunity.”
Even with a parade of quarterbacks coming through the line of participants and limited reps because of the huge number of players, it didn’t take long for Brown to make his presence known even in less than ideal conditions. At 6-2, 213, Brown stands out in a crowd with his size, but his ability to make plays is equally as evident when watching him on film. Without the pads on Sunday he had to depend on his ability as a receiver, something that worked well.
“The rain made it a little tough and the unfamiliar quarterbacks were a little difficult to work with because of the timing,” Brown said. “I just had to make it happen.”
Currently with nine offers, but many more likely to come as his name continues to get out, Brown said he doesn’t have any early favorites among schools such as Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Kansas, Mississippi State and Ole Miss. Planning to take a longer look at the Tigers, he said that right now he’s just getting to know Coach Dameyune Craig and the staff, but plans to get to the Plains before he makes a decision down the road.
“I haven’t visited them yet, but I’m looking forward to it,” Brown said of the Tigers. “I’m talking to Coach Craig and he just tells me they love my size and speed and the way I use my hands.”
