Back on campus for the A-Day game last Saturday at Jordan-Hare Stadium, Jackson said the visit wasn’t any different than any of the others he has taken because he left with the same feeling he gets about the Tigers every time.
“It was just about communicating with the coaches better and having fun being there,” Jackson said. “I just love being there. The atmosphere is just awesome to me. I feel like I’m at home again. I love it.”
Visiting Georgia and Auburn on back-to-back Saturdays has gave Jackson a chance to compare the two schools and the gameday atmosphere for each in the spring. “Most definitely,” Jackson said of seeing himself in Auburn’s defense. “Talking to Coach Muschamp and Coach (Rodney) Garner and Coach (Dameyune) Craig about the program, I just love it.”
Adding that he doubts he will be able to wait until signing day to make his decision, Jackson said it will likely come sometime this fall. With Auburn’s need at the defensive tackle position and already a good feel for the campus, school and program, he said the Tigers are in a select group as he prepares for the spring.
“Auburn is in my top schools, most definitely,” Jackson said. “Some of my top schools are Georgia, Auburn and Ohio State.
