Threat is a player who should have a huge senior season for the Toros after performing well as a junior. Playing alongside class of 2017 prospect Thomas Johnston in the middle, Threat is a weapon coming off the edge of the defense as a pass rusher and also shows the ability to be a playmaker on the second line of defense. With the physicality to make plays at the line of scrimmage in the running game, Threat could easily play at 245-250 pounds down the road at Auburn and be an enforcer.
Scout’s Take--John Garcia Jr.
"Tre has been on major radar for some time, and he's consistently gotten better leading up to his commitment. One of the most versatile defenders in-state, he can play all three traditional linebacker spots and has shown solid technique while rushing the passer as well.
"Threat thrives on the edge, however, with a physical nature at the point of attack and a great understanding of angles and leverage. A more consistent impact in pass coverage will be his next step, though he flashes the ability to run well and play the ball effectively."
Coach's Take--Ben Blackmon
"I think Auburn is getting a very dynamic player, very versatile. He's very long. He can come off the edge really well, but has the skills to change directions and cover and play out in space. They are getting a talented athlete. He's a very good pass rusher. We have been able to watch him in the spring see that he does have the ability to drop out into coverage and do some of those things, which makes him special."
